Foursquare to me has always been about more than just racking up points—it’s an extension of my memory and an invaluable tool for “spontaneously” discovering new places I might like.  And now, with Foursquare Explore, 3 billion check-ins and 30 million tips on Foursquare to date are being leveraged to provide the best recommendations in your area—even if you don’t use the service. The transparency of Foursquare Explore puts ever more onus on restaurants, shops and bars to provide value to their customers and treat them with respect. The great news is, the more we all use it, the better it will get.
