A school from 1984 in 2012

Each student from Anson Jones Middle School in San Antonio, Texas gets their very own plastic name tag complete with lanyard and radio-frequency identification technology. Why? Because Texas schools receive funding based on attendance. And what better way to prove and improve attendance than tracking students’ whereabouts? Welcome to 1984.
